Leveraging and de-risking private sector investment is a high priority for mobilising the scale of financing needed to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. In this session, Camco’s Policy and Partnerships Manager, Ieva Indriunaite joined speakers from African Development Bank, Ignite Power and Acumen to discuss:

  • Respective institution’s experiences in promoting the energy transition and the nexus with adaptation aspects of climate change.

  • The role of derisking and innovative financial approaches to mobilise finance at scale for the energy transition.

  • The affordability of the energy transition within developing countries’ vulnerable communities

  • Learnings from the implementation of GCF programmes and projects that have contributed to clean and just energy transitions.
