We are excited to welcome Marindame Kombate PhD and Leila Pourarkin to Camco’s Market Development Committee (MDC).
The MDC is Camco’s decision-making body for our market development and technical assistance facilities. Kombate and Leila will join Camco CEO Geoff Sinclair and Head of Impact Laura Lahti on the committee.
Kombate is an investment professional with 15 years’ experience working in the impact investment space in West Africa, focusing on renewable energy finance and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Leila is a climate finance expert who has held a range of leadership roles within the UK’s International Climate Finance and International Climate Negotiations teams. She previously worked as an EU climate negotiator in the run up to the Paris Agreement and has over 15 years of experience working on climate and energy policy.
The pair will draw on their extensive experience working in Africa’s clean energy sector to help ensure our facilities address key market gaps with innovative solutions and operate according to best practice, strategy and policy.
Geoff Sinclair said: “Kombata and Leila bring tremendous experience to the MDC, and I am thrilled to have them on board.
“Supporting market development is a central part of Camco’s strategy, and I’m confident they will ensure our initiatives make a lasting and impactful difference in the clean energy transition.”
